Caring for those who've lost a loved one
The Ministry of Consolation is an integral part of our Parish. Coordinators set the team in motion when notified about a funeral. Companions meet with the family to help with the planning of the funeral Mass. They guide and assist in choosing the readings and the hymns for the Mass or Service. They also gather personal history and background information for the celebrants of the wake and funeral Mass to be used in the homily. Mass booklets are prepared for the family and compassionate companions walk with the family through every aspect of the Mass. Greeters are at the Church to welcome and care for the needs of the family and friends.
